A huge thank you to each and every member of Lympstone Band for the warm welcome and instant friendship you showed me this weekend in France. There's one or two memories of the trip I know will never fade !!! Your a lovely bunch of people. I sincerely hope I'll have the opportunity to play with you again. Well done on the result. Just like to say hello to Charlie Fleming who I had the pleasure of serving with in H.M.R.M. Band service in the 60's and 70's. good to see you doing so well....if ever I'm down your way can I call in and have a blow with you on Euph please ?? all the best to you all........

Just HAD to comment on the fabulous website; the truly great and sustained progress over recent years; the sheer 'stickability' of the old stalwarts with whom I was privileged to play alongside and, finally, dear Chas being hit by a bus!! Glad he's survived and I can imagine his "Oh dear, what a pity!" comment as he hit the ground.
I wish you all every possible success in your 'new' Band Centre. It's such a joy to hear the sound of the band's practice echoing around Lympstone's shores on a balmy summer evening.

It's a shame you live too far away then becauase we do still have vacancies. If you change your mind just get in touch!
We won't be doing Ebbw Vale this year as we are going to the French Open in Amboise a few weeks after, but we will be doing Weston in May.

Hi Charlie and band,
Just saw your add on 4barsrest and thought I would say hi!
I played at RNVB Yeovilton while posted there and did one of the Cologne trips with Charlie. I gave up for years because I didn't think I would be good enough for a civvi band! I have been playing in our local training band for a couple of years now and love it. Wish you were closer, would apply for one of your cornet vacancies!
Well done at Torquay, will you be coming to Ebbw Vale, I will probably come and watch.
